I have this old gun. It is a International Harvester Garand bought from a state/county police department about 20+ years ago. It has all the normal cartouches from a garand from this maker but it also has a square with dots in it. I am wondering if this is an arsenal inspection marking. The gun has no papers left but from what I can see this gun has harvester cartouche on the stock and the harvester name stamp on the receiver. It has a springfield armory barrel. the only marking I can not identify is the square with dots in it. Can anyone shed light on this marking? The gun is in shootable condition and is not pristine in any sense of the word but it well taken care of and all original as bought.
