M48 Action

I posted over on the Weatherby Nation about the new 28 Nosler and there was some discussion on who made the actions for the M48 and Howa's name came up. I sent an E-mail to Nosler and the reply was that all M48 actions are made in house so for those that want to know you can pass that along as Gospel. :mrgreen:

A lot of people like to holler Howa...trying to berate the M48...and it is a Howa clone, but it is a Wiseman action.

Whatever you call it...it's a very good action...strong, stiff, and simple.

That's my theory...whoever makes it.

I read somewhere... Not long ago, that the M48 actions were designed by the same fellow who designed the HOWA action. And that they're made in Oregon, for Nosler. Then the rifles are assembled at Nosler, in Bend, Oregon.

I don't know if that's all true or not. I read it on the internet, so it must be true! :mrgreen:

Sounds good to me anyway...
