I think so too Mike. I gotta tell ya, I love rifles and lots of them but my Pre64 338 is the one I could hunt forever with. The McMillan isn't quite as warm as the wood stick it came with but man it's a stable rifle and delivers for me. It'll be fun to lay it over another elk this Fall.
 
Shot the 200's at 200 yards yesterday. Seems to be holding up fine at 3.640" Base to Ogive...

 
That is a heckuva load, Scotty. Some fine riflery there. 'Course, we expect that from a Marine. (y)

Scotty,

Was that 3.640" from the bolt face to Ogive or to the tip of the bullet? Just seemed long to me thought it might be like 2.640"?
 
It's an arbitrary measurement Jake. I use the Hornady comparator that's adds about an 1", then use the .338 collet and measure from the case head to the ogive. It works for me....
