I;m working up a load for my friend. I properly cleaned the the barrel. What is the proper inch pound torque for the front and rear stock screws? The middle screw I understand is to be barely tight.
 
If it's wood stocked and not bedded, I usually run such rifles about 35 inch lbs up front. Somewhat less than that in the rear.

Give or take I do that across the board on rifles fitting the above description. Save for the older M77's with the angled front action screw. Those I make gorilla tight up front.

Not saying that's correct, and some may disagree. But it's worked for me without causing any issues.
