M70 winchester 6,5x55. NIB.

Very nice. The hardest to find are the CRF and I've actually seen one on a stainless action as well.

Serie# is G2116793

When was it made..anybody know?.

It a very nice rifle from a period when a genuine American gun manufacture could compete with gun manu factures we had over here.
I see this rifle an icon from a period, where one could still buy authenticity. That is so rare today it is almost non-existent. Everything today is out-sourced.

I would think the late 80's to early 90's for production. I think they made a run of them, just before going back to the Classic action. That is a very nice rifle and mine in a 7mm Mauser is a great shooting rifle..

That does make one wonder why one doesn't have a Model 70 in the safe!

Who doesn't have one in the safe? Going to have to send the Scotty posse after you!

What a pity that someone would be thus deprived. :(

That rifle was made in the late 1980's. I only have two Model 70's any more, with one Pre 64, but I have three other Mauser action rifles in addition to Model 70's, plus a Mini-Mauser.

Jump on it I had one and shot 1 hole with the 140 Hornadies and imr 4831
