It's not too early at all to start your 2009 hunt planning, particularly if you're putting in for any special draw hunts or planning to hunt out-of-state. My desk is covered with maps, applications, photos... It's not as fun as the actual hunt, but it's pretty darned interesting.
Hoping/planning for:
1. Spring varmint hunt
2. WA state spring bear (draw)
3. WA archery elk
4. WA high buck hunt
5. WA regular season deer & bear
6. WA doe tag (youngest son, draw)
7. Out of state mulie hunt, again (draw)
Of course I'm also putting in for WA tags for Mountain Goat, Bighorn Sheep, Moose... Hopefully a special tag for archery elk too. Most of those however, offer only a slim possibility of a draw...
Best of luck on your planned hunts too!
