I have been wanting a folding stock setup in effort of fitting the rifle with suppressor in a case that would fit across the front of my 4 wheeler.
I took advantage of a few Black Friday sales and picked up a chassis for my short barreled 308. After a bunch of researching the various chassis systems for a lighter weight side folder I settled on the MDT LSS chassis. As chassis systems go this one is about as light and minimalistic as they come.
I got the chassis and side folder adapter yesterday. It was easy to mount up and carried much better than I expected. The balance point is right in front of the mag well. I stuck a standard carbine collapsable stock just to get a feel for it. I have a fully adjustable stock from XLR industries on the way. Hopefully be here early this week and I can take it out and shoot it.
Today I got the tango down flip grip. It is the most vertical ar style grip on the market. It took a little sanding to get it to fit right but the end product looks very promising.
