Nosler guys:
Superb accuracy  with the 260 AB's out of my Contender in .375 JDJ (14" SSK).

What is your recommended minimum impact velocity for expansion with the above bullet?

Elk, deer and hogs will be in the crosshairs.

Thanks,
Sako

The BT's are designed to open up down to 1600 fps impact velocity.
With a MV of 2000 fps, you would have expansion out to +/-250 yds.

JD,

Thanks. Understood on the BT's (Ballistic Tips) down to 1600 fps. I was looking for info on the Accubonds.

Sako,

Sorry for the typo, both the BT and AB are designed to open up down to 1600 fps impact velocity.

JD,
Great info on the AB's expanding down to 1600 fps!
Will post "final" hunting velocities with the 260 AB from my 375 JDJ. I'm slowly working up loads. Whitetail season will be upon us next month and I expect shots to be 100 yds or less here in Georgia. Terminal results to follow if I'm lucky enough to harvest one or two.

Sako,

Sounds Great! Keep us posted.
Just a thought, try shooting into 7-8 gallon milk jugs filled with water and lined up one behind another on a plank. The recovered bullet should give you a rough idea of expansion.
