My hunting location has a wide variety of shots up to and including 150 yds. Most shot are less than 50 yds with my call ins. What bullet do you recommend ballistic tip or AccuBond for total buck dropping capability. After I shoot the deer normally they run a ways and end up in thick brush or in gullys and ravines. So I need them to stop where their hit.

If they are that close, any bullet should drop them with a shoulder hit. If your worried about loss of meat, why not take a neck shot if the range is 50 yards??? If it was me, at that range and wanted to use a btip, I would personally use the heaviest available which is the 150g. It would work great. If your worried about penetration, I'm sure the 140g AB would tackle them down, but I"ve never been one for premium bullets for deer, but then again, I never get a shot at a buck under 100 yards, and thats close for where I hunt.
