Model 71 --348

Cheyenne, use the 250 grain bullets, not the 200's for your needs. I would be very sad if you were eaten by a bear!

As would I.
I can think of none here that wouldn't be sad if Cheyenne was eaten by a baar.

Yeah, I would imagine the JDJ carries the mail! Is that in a pistol or a rifle?

Congrats Alena and Merry Christmas.

Gentlemen---Thank you!

truck driver, in my dreams I wish I was Aleena, as every indian girl I know, including me has wanted to be a tall blue eyed blond at one time in her life (-;

That's a beautiful rifle any rifleman would be proud to own. If you like lever rifles and medium bore type rounds you owe it to yourself to try one. They are fantastic rifles.

Cheyenne, I had looked at that on GunsInat'l and admired it from afar. It is a really nice representative of the Model 71's made before WWII. I hope that you enjoy this fine rifle that you have acquired and that it does everything you want it to do.

Still gotta shoot mine but weather sux.

I am jealous you guys. I always wanted one of those and owned several different lever rifles but no 1886 or Model 71 Winchesters! :(

The original Browning design is "The" best lever action ever made period!

Not only is the action super strong, but it functions flawlessly.
