Moose sighting

This bull moose has been running around in town (Pasco, Washington) for the last two days. This footage is from my coworkers car and was on the east side of town. For those that don't know where Pasco is it is where the Snake River dumps into the Columbia River. Pasco goes for approximately 16 miles west of the Snake river along the Columbia. It is an arid desert not exactly Moose county.

Dr.Mike come on down. Neighbors have seen a cow and two calves as well. This footage was from this morning by the way, around 0400 hours.

It's good to hear moose are around the area. They are a delight to watch. Sorry, but I'm getting ready to head north on Sunday for caribou and sheep.

I had to offer. I have never seen or heard of a moose around here. We elk but moose... not even sure where they would have come from. I'm afraid we will end up having to shoot it though. With all the idiots around that have never seen one thinking they are a cute cuddly thing, lets get a picture.

If there is a cow with calves in the area, they are establishing a breeding stock; that should be a good thing. It is strange for a bull to be in town at this time of year. There should be enough browse to keep him in the bush, unless your dry summer has destroyed his food supply. Consequently, he seemed to know where he wanted to go. Pity his didn't signal before he turned. He could pick up a ticket for such shoddy driving, er, running.

Very cool! Nice to know they are there and the population seems to be increasing which is a good thing.....

Sure wouldn`t want to hit one on the hwy though.

I think it is great too but I'm afraid they would be poached out of here in time flat. Hopefully not. Dr.MIke, he was not too concerned about any of our laws, trespassing, leaping fences in single bounds. I would like to see him myself, aparently he is a fairly large moose. I have missed him two days in a row now. Hopefully we will see him tonight.

Sad news today, the moose got stuck in an irrigation canal and was shot because they could not safely get it out. Meat was donated to the Mission in town at least.
