MRC rifles

The 1 in 9 twist isn't what I want either but in reality it should work fine with most bullets. Scotty has posted up some great groups with his M 70 and others have as well. If it shoots the typical 140's from Nosler and Hornady I would be happy. I do find it a bit strange as to why the offer the 26 Nosler with a 1 in 8.5 and offer all their other 6.5mm offerings with the 1 in 9.

If I'm getting a long range rifle like a 264 or 26 nosler I want to be able use the high BC bullets that require a faster twist.

I like the 1 : 8 twist in my 6.5x284.

They will build whatever twist you want within reason for a few extra bucks. I was pretty close to a 300 Wby with a 1-9... Still might, just not today. Wanna hear about their new stocks first.

Heck let's design a wild cat for a do everything NA Gun.
I'm thinking a belt-less case the length of a 358 Norma which will work threw a standard length action .473 rim diameter straight body case and 40 degree shoulder with a .309 length neck . You could neck it up or down to your caliber of choice.

Yes but with a standard size rim not a magnum. (y) Newton cartridges had a lot going for them. Could never figure out why they died off.
Thinking of using 30-06 cylinder brass for OD rim size. Newton needs a magnum bolt face.

Pat, That would tip the scales for me as well, having the old style trigger. They have a pretty, nice wood stocked rifle with that rigger for basically $1300.

Yep Charlie it does it for me as well. The simplicity of design and ease of working on it makes it a no brainer for me.

I'm thinking the .30-06 has done everything in North America and has done it well. If you wish, neck it up to .338 or .35 for more bullet.

Ooooooo :!: pulling wings off Flies now that's an interesting past time and a great hobby. I like to clip them with scissors and watch them try to fly.

Do you know how entertaining it is to chase flies with an electric fly swatter? Way more fun than taking wings off!
