My brother bought a 6.5 PRC, now I gotta load for it

He’s got brass on the way and I’m a Hornady Custom Grade die fan.

We have Reloder 26 to try first, 143 ELDX. Can anyone help with load data? 24.3” barrel, 1-8”, Nosler brass.

If you can’t get what you want with 26, RL-23 was phenomenal in mine with the ABLR

55grs of R-26 shoots really well in mine with a 147 ELD-M. I shot a 1.5" group at 600yds with it.

I realize this isn't the 143 ELD-X but my Tikka did this today with the 147 ELD-M , 51.3 RL-23, and Federal 215 magnum primers. I wasn't able to get a speed on them because my chronograph is being a problem child but based on Hornady data it should be around 2900.

I love my little PRC.. One of the easiest to get shooting cartridges I've used to date on a factory gun.. And book speeds are easy to attain with book data. Kind of a rarity sometimes.

R26 is the super sauce in one of my 6.5 PRC. H1000 in the other.
