My first new Winchester

Thanks, guys. Also, you may just talk me into the Partitions.

That is the easy call Trevor! PTs and the 270 would be slick! Scotty

I got the first five shots of my break in done this morning. I only had an hour on the range, but things are looking promising.

Here's the first shot, boresighted only:

Here are the next four:

This was with cleaning after every shot, which I'll do for an additional five rounds. The ammo was Federal Blue Box 130 gr SP's. The first three shots after scope adjustment went .936" and the fourth made it 1.190".

I'm happy so far. I don't enjoy the break in cleaning procedure very much, but it sure helps when it's printing decent groups during the process. Hopefully it carries on.

It certainly looks as if you're on the right track. Things are really looking good.

Thanks Corey, Dr. Mike, and Scotty. I'll post updates as I shoot it more.

Scotty- I'm only just getting out of Keith's childhood and there has already been quite a bit of big bore propaganda. I fear that, by the end, I'll feel I've purchased a fine rifle in an inferior chambering.

I'm pretty sure it would make a beautiful 338-06 or 35 Whelen! Scotty
