Nice write up on your new Nosler TGR 280 AI.
The 280 AI is a great all around round for NA, you are going to love it.

It is indeed a nice rifle
Anxious to get out hunting again next weekend
I am very picky, I have to like the cartridge, the rifle itself, etc..
This gun lines it all up nicely
As to the scope, the Leupold is a T&E item
I don't really see any real world difference between 1" and 30mm scopes in terms of bulk or weight.
Not sure what I will run long term as I am always testing new scopes out, in fact, there is a Zeiss Victory 4-16x50 FL showing up today that I will be mounting up!
This rifle is mainly for stand hunting down long senderos.
I run a 16" Wilson Combat AR in 6.8 SPC with a S&B 1.5-6x42 for my stalking gun.
