Hay, back from the woods and no time to load for the range, need a few quick load resipies for my Remington 30-06 700 and another rifle. For the 06, looking for a load for that rifle, 165gr. AB's. powder's (IMR 4320, IMR4350, RL19,RL22) in house. The 270WSM same powder 130gr. or 140 AB's. Thanks you guys and gals. Going back up to the woods on Sat. I appreciate all your help... thanks again. Here is one of my Northern Maine hunters that I guided a week ago, Chris Overly From PA.

First off, GREAT Maine moose! Now that is a trophy for anywhere!

As for your 30-06. I think 57.5gr of IMR4350 would be about as good as you could do on short notice. With all of my buddies and tons of them on here getting such excellent results from the 165 and IMR4350, I can't see you spending too much time on the range.

AS for your 270WSM. I would work up to 66gr's of of RL22 with your 140's. Again, if your rifle is decently accurate and shoots well, both of those loads should get you hunting grade accuracy pretty quick. I know you will still have to do a mini work up, probably dropping back a 1.5gr's just to check and make sure they work out in your rifle, but I would be surprised if you don't get something really quickly. Thanks Scotty, The 270wsm ia a Browning A-bolt White Gold Medallion Octogon barrel, any quick load for that? Anything would help. Thanks for the 06 load, comming from you I know it is sound!!!

57.4 grs. (Me thinks .1 gr. off won't matter much) of IMR4350 and 165 gr. AccuBond in your
30-06 will work perfectly!! It's worked for me in two and shot fantastic! NICE MOOSE!

These are my three loads I have developed and LOVE. All use WW cases, CCI 250 primers. 1. 130gr AB, 72gr's MagPro, 2.875" COAL 2. 150gr Nosler BT, 66gr's RL22, 2.860" COAL, 3. 150gr PT, 65.5gr's RL22, 2.860" COAL. The 130 load runs right up into the 3300 range and both of the 150 loads run 3125FPS out of my M70. Another load with the 150 PT's is the 64gr's IMR7828SC with WW cases, CCI250's. That load runs right at 3,000 out of my rifle. If you have time to shoot 12 rounds in order to do a quick load work up, I would load 4 each of 64, 65, 66gr's of RL22 with a 140gr AB at 2.860". One of those should be accurate enough to hunt with and all over 3,000FPS. I can't see you not getting something that you could hunt with and it is likely you will have something much better. Scotty

My most accurate load for my 270WSM was 64g. RL 22, WLRM primers, Norma brass, 130g AccuBond, 2.875 COAL. I have a Browning X bolt stainless hunter and love this this load. I get repeated 1/2" groups.

RL22 is a good bet in about any 270WSM. Just love the stuff! Scotty

With 57 grs of either H or IMR 4350 I get right about 2825 fps with the 165 AB, PT, or Sierra Gameking which I have settled on as my all-around load in the 30-06. When you have a 300 Mag around there is no need really to shoot a 180 grain bullet in the 30-06 here in Oregon. I load my 300 WSM with 180 grainers.

As for the 270 WSM, I have also used the IMR-4350 and RL-22 the most, especially with lighter weight bullets.
