I really need to load some more 95gr Ballistic tips and refine my load a bit. Also have some 95gr Partitions to put together some test loads with. I feel like Im commiting a crime since my 243 has never felt a Partition run down its barrel! My only problem is the reloading bench my Dad and I share is covered with snowmobile parts! He burned up a cylinder in his sled a month or so ago and has parts scattered everywhere and he is still waitin on more parts! Guess Ill have to help him put it together so I can get some loadin done!

All my toys and tools have been out of limits for a month now! Maybe another month pending the finishing of my basement!

That can be a problem. Life tends to get in the way of our enjoyment.

I've been working from home for the last few weeks, and my handloading room is the closet off of my home office. It's been calling to me the whole time. Last night after the kids were in bed, I finally got time to slip upstairs and load a few. I was working on a top secret project at the load bench, but I got a couple of workups loaded up. I did discover that I have a brass issue on this project and may need to purchase some new brass to eliminate it. But for now, I'm pushing forward with what I have. Once I get this all together, it should improve my BSA a little bit, too.

I can say it was therapeutic to prep some cases and move them through to loaded rounds. Need to do more of it. And more shooting!

I just got back from a job interview that happened to be a couple blocks from BPS. I went in to see if they could order my hog gun. No go, but they will accept a transfer.

They did happen to have a sale on Hodgdon powders. 10% off, so I picked up a pound of H4381sc and some primers.

I've got a little work to do around the house, but plan on spending a couple hours at the bench later today.

It's been a long time coming.

I found time the other day to load up a box of Winchester 150 gr. Power Points for my 7x57 Mauser. Now all I have to do is fine time to get out to the range and see how they do. :(
I've worked with that bullet off and on and so far it has not given very decent groups. I have them seated as far out as I can get away with and will use my Lyman 310 tong tool at the range trying different seating depths. Maybe this time I'll find the sweet spot.

Great advice. You could use the down time to build a small bench, even if it's temporary.

It was pouring rain here today, no inside projects right now so I spent all day in the man cave. A nice brisk workout, breakfast a nap, then 40 rounds loaded. !!!
I have fitness test in the morning to see if I will be fire line qualified again this year. Have to do 3 miles in 45 min with a 45 lb pack. The pace is a little faster than my normal.

Well I spend all evening helping Dad put his motor back together. Got the crankshaft, pistons/cylinders, and head all put back together. Another day or so and the reloading bench should be clear of snowmobile parts!
