New 300 win mag

Hey guy's I picked this rifle up from a friend on a really good deal. It is a winchester model 70 classic with the BOSS on it.

This is the very first load that I put through the gun just to see how it shoots. The load consisted of 70 grains of IMR 4350 with a 168 grain hornady A-Max. The OAL was right at 3.340. With a MV of 3050 fps at 21 feet.This is a 3 shot group at 100 yards.

I think I found the load!

GREAT rifle buddy! I have it's twin in a 338WM and it is a shooter as well! I love it. I think you will like it alot. I can't say enough good about my M70 338. I know the BOSS is sorta of an eyesore, but when they shoot like that, I can look past them alot. I know I forgive mine every once in awhile too!

Mine shoots best with 70 gr of H-4350 and 180 Sierra BT

Thank you everyone, it is a great gun with barely any recoil. Fotis the scope is a centerpoint 4-16x56. I will be putting a vortex viper on it shortly.
