Earlier this year I bumped into a beautiful 375 Ruger RH Laminate/SS 23" barrel . The fit and finish on the gun was very impressive and the gun is tremendously accurate . 270 Hornady and 260 Accubonds under 1" @ 100 yards. At the time I got it I really wanted a Alaskan SS 20" barrel . Fast forward to last Friday there on the sale rack was a 375 Ruger Alaskan/SS $300.00 off . Well my inter FOTIS took over and it followed me home. Fit and finish are nice , gun is really Accurate.
This brings me to my thoughts on the 77 Ruger . I have always been a Remington guy I never like the Ruger/Winchester 3 pos. safety . In the past 2 year a number of my friends have purchased new 77's all were SS/SYN all looked great. I have to say the function of the safeties on all were relatively smooth and quiet . One I worked with , a 338 win. shot amazing groups with anything , as do both the 375's I have. Defiantly wont be the last Rugers I own. good hunting KH

Very nice looking rifle and it shoots great!

Ruger had come a long way.
I used to think of them as a poor man's Winchester but no more. They have really stepped up their quality since the days of their meager beginnings.

Ruger makes a fine firearm. The .375 Rugers I've shot were all very accurate. They would make a fine addition for anyone wanting a rifle that will hunt the world.

Ruger firearms make up the bulk of my holdings. Only one has required any extra effort to make decently accurate, and it took care of 5 deer before I did that. Ruger definitely has a lot less drama than other manufacturers too.

Nice rifle! I like those 375 Alaskans. Seem like a really great hunting rifles.

I also agree, I have had a few Rugers and regret getting rid of both of them. Just needed other things at the time. I'd get another one were I looking in a heartbeat.

I too like the new Hawkeyes - have 3 in the safe. My 375 is a SS 23" barrel laminated stock version. I had the 23" blued African but sold it to buy the SS version. I dig the 23" SS version alot. Preliminary load work indicates it will be a shooter. All 3 of my Hawkeyes are capable of MOA at 100, or a bit better.

I only have Win M70's and Ruger M77's in the safe now. They all happily reside in the family............ 8)

Nice rifle and caliber!..I have the H&H version, and she's a shooter too

Agree. The new .375 Ruger cartridge is a winner, and so is the latest version of Ruger's 77!

BK , a friend bought it from me . It's a great gun , he knows he got a good one I only tried 3 loads and they all shot less than 1" at 100 yards.
