New BT load, performance on game?

3150 with a 150 gr in 7mm is indeed 7mm rem magnum territory. I would suggest staying in the 2900 fps range with the 280.
And you know how it goes!
While I will definitely take accuracy over velocity any day, I am always happier to achieve both! (And I did like my 7mm Rem Mag, and do not currently have one...)
That being said, I definitely want to experiment to see if the rifle can achieve the potential that QL shows is potentially available with the higher pressure in the modern action.
Will I get pressure signs in my rifle? Will it achieve the velocity? Will it achieve the accuracy of MOA or better?
Won't know of I don't try...
And if I can achieve AI performance I can show those locals who have told me to improve the rifle that there is no need to! ;)
And then I won't "need" to get a 280 AI to play with...but that is another rifle loonie story!!!
And the 280 Rem continues to be a favourite!

The BT’s are more predictable at modest impact speeds. On the other hand I’ve seen some awesome killing occur with AB and BT alike at high speed. Any angle works for the AB but I’ve tried to stay off the shoulder with BT. From 100gr in .257 to 130 in .277 and 140/150/160 in .284 they are easy to tune, deadly and consistent overall. 2 of the best bullet designs for reasonable distance in my opinion. Proven. Many times over in my experience
