New build?

The 6.5X68 is one that I should be building instead of the 284 I'm currently building! That round has always intrigued me; it just looks tough.

If I can find Voere or a Styer in it.... Boy oh boy!

It would be a lovely rifle, no doubt. Should I build another rifle next year, I may look hard at building either the 8X68 (which duplicates the 325WSM ballistically) or the 6.5X68, which would just be cool.

Mike, is the case head the same size on the 8X68 as the 6.5x68? I am assuming they are. I am still milling over what do with my older 338 Win Mag. It is sitting at the smith's, awaiting a barrel, but for the life of me, I cannot decide on anything, for more than a day. I thought I had it yesterday, but you threw out the 8x68..... :lol:

Looks like a small bonanza I wasn't counting on and it's new toy time.
I'm fairly well set (never say completely :lol: ) in 224, 243 and 257. Also have a 7 mag, 30 mag and a 9.3 on the way. (that ones because of you guys! :x )
Thinking of some kind of flat-liner but the drawing board is open.
I realize this is weak on details, but it just happened and I'm open to ideas.

...6.5 Creedmoor, very mild recoil, very good accuracy, extremely good ballistics, easy on barrels, pretty fair "hunting round" in it's own right, but mainly fer shooting rocks, you've got most of the bases covered, what ya need is a really good "rock shooting rifle"...

...rock shooting is pretty serious around here, ya drive out till ya see a suspisciouslookin rock, then the rules are pretty simple, "Iffn it moves, 'Shoot It', iffn it don't, 'Shoot it till it moves'"...

...of course, there's always the chance of running into a ravenous herd of furvicious pdawgs (you hear of lots of people surviving grizzly attacks, when's the last time you heard of someone surviving a pdawg attack) that you'll have to fight off...
