New copper tariff???

Looking at Starline they raised their prices I see Creedmoor 6.5 went up quite a bit even 9 MM luger is up.
I got lucky buying all the 6.5 brass that I did when Gander outdoors were closing their doors, the brass would cost $1000 today compared to the $350 I paid.

The Supreme Court will hear arguments today. Perhaps the tariffs will go away. I do wish I had bought more hammers, but I did get a bunch of Accubonds and Ballistic tips over the summer. It’ll keep me going for a while.

Listened to the arguments before the court today. Fascinating stuff. I was really impressed by the lawyers (both sides) ability to answer questions from the court. Gotta give it to those guys, they are smart and quick.

I'm still using them and I'm still ordering but the increasing price sucks

Has anyone actually tested them down to 13-1400 fps or have a link that does? I'd like to see it. I have a very hard time believing any copper bullet would sufficiently expand down to that low of velocity. Numbers I'm seeing is 1800 fps for non tipped hammers, and 1700 fps for tipped variants. Even that still seems a bit optimistic for monos in my limited experience with Barnes anyway.

Monos are already expensive enough as it is. I couldn't imagine another 15-30% on top of it. I'll stick with my cheap ELDMs, they've yet to let me down and I doubt they ever will. And I know for a fact that they expand down to 1500 fps.

I really like the Hammer bullets but I've moved away from all of the copper bullets due to the cost. Bergers are much cheaper, amazingly consistent and drop animals reliably. This year, I worked up my hunting load with Hornady ELD bullets which were even less expensive. They shot great and resulted in two DRT kills last week.
