New for 2012 Henry H010 45-70

That looks pretty neat. I dig the factory stock ghost ring on it!

As people rediscover the merits of the cartridge, I suspect others will introduce rifles to handle the round. It is the same for other cartridges that were dismissed by the marketers some years ago--witness, Kimber's introduction of a 35 Whelen.

Jim that looks really tempting! I've always kind of lusted over a 45-70 in a lever action such as the Marlin, and this one looks very nice also.

Their specs. info. says a "straight-grip stock", but the image shows a pistol-grip rifle. I like the PG style

Hummmm ...

Looks pretty good. I like the sights too.

Apparently ammo must be loaded into the tube magazine, not through the receiver.

Guy,

Take a closer look at the tube magazine. It loads there just like a 22 rimfire. You can see the cut out towards the end of the tube.

Looks like a winner to me. With the demise of quality of the new Marlins and the upswing of quality Henry's this is great news. It looks like a very awesome rig to me. All of the Henry's I've handled and fired have been very solid with excellent walnut and nice blueing. Looks like a hit to me. The factory XS sights are a great touch as well.

I thought that's what I saw! And pretty much what I typed...

OH! I like this!!!!!!

Man, it is pretty solid looking. I am not sure how you could go wrong with it either. Looks like a Marlin action as well. Scotty

That XS ghost ring is what I put on my muzzle loader and it is a great sight. Nice looking rifle too.

If somebody gets this please do a range report.

We might have to turn to Henry since Big Green is screwing the pooch with Marlin......

I hope it shoots good cause it's as ugly as sin!
Imperato had better send his design engineers back to "the ole drawing board".
Hefted one at a local shop & it looks and handles like a pig on a shovel.
