New Stock

I bought this for my 7mag and after having doubts about my bedding job on the 35 Whelen AI I decided to switch stocks to see if there was a problem with the bedding.
After the last range day my ego got a boast since my control load proved the bedding job was good.
Here's a picture of the stock and action mounted. The red spider web reminded me of sweating blood as in the rifle sweating blood to kill something. :mrgreen:

Thanks for the comments but I can't take credit for anything but bolting it on except for the spacer I made out of aluminum under the front action screw. The stock is designed to accept the one piece bottom metal and I have the two piece so needed a spacer for everything to fit flush. The spacer is made of carbon fiber and it didn't impress me and felt it would defeat the purpose of the full bedding block so I made a front spacer and used part of the carbon fiber to fill the void the magazine cover didn't cover in front of the trigger guard other than that the stock is a drop in bolt on.

TD, I had the same problem with my 2 piece bottom metal M70 and BC stock. I went to my junk bins in the shop and found 2 nuts the right size. I had to file them down a bit, but everything works. You can get a plastic spacer off eBay for about $10-15, but I was worried it would flex or deform. That would kind of defeat the purpose of getting a synthetic stock with an aluminum bedding block. Nice looking gun.

Yup that's what I did except I used a piece of aluminum I cut out of flat stock to fit the front recess for the magazine cover and action screw. :mrgreen:

Thanks Jim the red spider web seems to make it pop with out over doing it.
I picked the stock up off Red Hawk Rifles when it was on sale.

Thanks Scotty. I picked it up for the M70 7RM but stuck it on the 35 AI to see if it would change anything and it didn't so my bedding job was good to go on the laminated stock. I stuck the 7RM in the laminated stock and it shot well also so I just left everything alone for now. :mrgreen:
