Got a new toy today, well the wife did (that's how I was allowed to buy it)

Savage 93R17TR
Put a cabelas 3-12 scope with LR reticle on it, should make making longer shots pretty simple.

Looking forward to shooting it. This is my first savage and first 17HMR

isn't that a great little cartridge?

Bought my son a CZ in .17 HMR years ago and a bunch of ammo. 700 rounds? 1000 rounds? I can't remember. I think I bought all the gun shop had.

He's had a blast with it, and so have I. :)

G'Day Fella's,

50 meters FOTIS.

You can see that 3 shots went thru the same hole (Top Right) and the other two, just blew out the group size!

I think I have worked out how to bed these CZ rifles correctly.
All I have to do now, is work how to shoot them (and all the others)!!!

Doh!

I just got into the HMR myself. I picked up a Ruger American Rimfire with the threaded barrel this Spring. I put a Leupold Ultralight 3-9x33 on it. Unfortunately accuracy was sub par and cases were sticking. I called Ruger and they said to send it in on their dime. They ended up sending me a new rifle and it is much more accurate and cases don't stick.

The 17hmr is a fun little gopher rifle, it is also deadly on crows we have had one down at my nephew's farm for a number of years we also have a 22 mag. it is a great little rifle as well (y) .

Blessings,
Dan
