Everyone needs to put up pictures of what santa brings this year so we can drool. I already bought mine back in November just in case santa gets lost in the snow storm tonight.

I am hoping for a Ruger Super Blackhawk, but I am not sure if my wife (Santa) got the memo! Either way, can't wait to see what you all get. Scotty

dont have a pic but i did get my live in girlfriend a marlin 22lr  and i know she got me a case tumbler

I didn't get any new guns today, but my girlfriend did get me a Garmin GPS for my truck and a 2 yr subscription to the Handloader magazine. Pretty cool if you ask me!

Well, my wife showed me the receipt for the Blackhawk. She got me the stainless Super Black 44 Rem Mag with the 7.5" barrel! Pretty stoked, but I won't get to actually get it until next week. Waiting on it to get shipped. Scotty

Anything related to what most of us love to do (shooting, hunting and reloading) is a plus for Christmas presents 8)

Scotty - you will need to post pics of that big nasty shooting iron :)

Nothing for hunting I'm afraid. A new snowblower and tv sucked up all the funds. So I look forward to seeing how you boys fared.

More than anything else I needed a new pair of hunting boots. When we all woke up on Christmas morning guess what Santa left? Odd how he knew the exact model and size that I wanted. The reloading supplies were great too.

Ya gotta love that old guy!

My in-laws were good to me this year. I got a 9-13" Harris bipod that has the freature that allows it to pivot a bit so on uneven ground it's easier to level it up quickly for a shot. I am very happy about it and cannot wait to get out after some coyotes with it mounted on my rifle!! I have to add that Harris Bi-pods are fantaastic....

Well all the grandkids have returned home so I have time to post
My wife gave me a Remington 700 sps stainless 25-06 this year.
So will post pictures when i have more time. I told her about pops 270 weatherby and she said go ahead but i was a little late on that one.
When i told here i was to late she asked if there was any others i was looking at. I told here about the 25-06 and it was located at a local gun shop.
On christmas morning it was under the tree.
So now to scope it , I'm thinking Leupold 3.5-10 VX3 OR VX2 4-12 with custom dial

It is always a good idea to strongly suggest the things we "need" to our loved ones.

Generally I make it as easy as I can, knowing how difficult and frustrating shopping for others can be. So I order what I want and then let the family break it up into packages as they see fit. Of course that means that the items can be separated. Otherwise, pretty much knowing what people spend, I figure out the total and then purchase what I want. They give me cash and I use it to pay off the credit card. Works great! No disappointments and no frustration. Like I tell them, "if I don't ask for it, don't give it to me because I don't need it". Unless it is a gun or a truck. I have gotten the gun, but never the truck.........wonder why?????

We reach an age when we have everything we need and the things we want are easier to buy ourselves. Consequently, while I'm prepared to buy nice "things" for my wife, I prefer that I have freedom to buy reloading and shooting supplies for myself. She is good with that, so it works out really well.

Can't post my Christmas until March and neither can POP until March.

My situation is somewhat like DrMikes so my wife got me gift certificates from Cabela's and Sportsmans Warehouse. They're not enough for a new rifle but they will buy some nice hunting and reloading toys.

Santa just seemed to know I needed some things for a upcoming Montana mule deer hunt (as long as we can get tags) so I was blessed with gifts from Cabela's.

Lyman 1200 powder scales
All day transporter fanny pack
Boots
GPS (Garmin eTrex)

...now I am just waiting on the Cabela's Visa statement for it all to set in......

So what part of Montana are you planning on hunting if you are lucky enough to get tags? Have you been out here before? There is some great mule deer hunting in our state for sure. Don't be surprised to see a large whitetail buck though when you are out looking for mule deer. One of those might be big enough to tempt you to shoot one!! 8) 8)

Both of my kids have taken the attitude that if it related to hunting, they are better off to let me buy it than try and guess themselves. I usually end up with gift certificates as well.

My girlfriend bought me something that was kinda neat though. It is a satellite gps message device called SPOT. It has the ability to send messages to pre-programed emails or phone numbers with a message that you are OK, need help or 911 if you have an emergency. She gets upset when I disappear for a week or so into the bush and she has no idea if everything is OK. The annual cost for the service is $99 and will work most places in the world. There is mixed opinions on how well they work, but if it gives her peace of mind, there is less hassles on disappearing to places where cell phones don't work.
