Hello from UK, just started reloding and looking for data. Loading Nosler 125gr ballistic Tip, Hodgdons Varget powder, Lapua cases .308Win. Using a .308 Steyr Mannlicher Pro Hunter Mk 2. Would very much appreciate any advise. Regards in advance.

Sorry I don't have a load using the Lapua case. Here's our load data for the 308 Winchester using the 30-125gr Ballistic Tip.

Winchester case
Fed 210M Primer
W748 powder

Start: 47.5grs
Max: 51.5grs (most accurate)

As always start low and work your way up carefully.

Here's the data from nosler #5 with 125s, varget, winchester cases, and fed 215M (why they used magnum primers I don't know).

50.0=3128
48.0=3039
46.0=2863

I use 56 grains of varget with the 125s in the '06. Shoots great.

sorry, they used 210M, not 215M. It's late. My eyes must have played a trick on me. They stated that 50 gns was most accurate.

I've found the 125 grain ballistic tip to be a great combo deer and varmint bullet both in .308 and 30-06. Accuracy is 1 MOA, and it penetrates well and kills very quickly. It also shoots very well in my Contender Carbine in 30-30. I use Varget in .308 and 30-30 and H414 in 30-06.
