Nosler .44 magnum Handgun data

I go to http://www.nosler.com/data44remmag250gr.html

and find partial load data for the powders I'm interested in. Missing is the Overall Length, and the primer used.

Is this additional data available ?

Go to any of the powder manufacturer's websites. They all have some sort of reloading data available. As for OAL, the Noslers I've used don't give you a choice as they have cannelure on the bullet for crimping the case to.

What weight of bullet and powder(s) are you using/want to use, and for what purpose, ie, hunting, target, competition, and so on?

I have a Ruger 44 Mag Super Redhawk that I load a variety of bullets for.

- 250 grain Partition-HG ... hunt/ personal defense

I shoot a S&W 629 Classic 6-1/2" Ported revolver.

For powders, I use a hefty charge H110 or Win 296. Different powders but same burn rate. I have loaded 240 Horn XTPS and 250 Partitions. I use the OAL spec listed in the Hornady book. I think it's somewhere around 1.615" but don't trust that, as I'm at work and don't have access to the manuals now. I load all with CCI mag pistol primers and these loads are for hunting.

I made the mistake of loading some Hornady SP Interlock 265 grainers, but found out they are designed for 44 or 444 rifle velocities and will not expand well in pistol velocities but should penetrate well. Designed more for heavy bone and tissue also according to the hornady tech I talked to.

For home defense I would probably load up a light cowboy type load maybe with a 180 grainer using bullseye or 700x. That way I wouldn't have to worry about shooting through the walls so much and risking innocent lives.
That's why I like a 38 spcl or something along that line for home defense. S&W 686 4" to be exact.

In 44 mag, I shoot a super redhawk w/ 7.5" barrel and burris red dot

I use Alliant's 2400 (17gns) for the 300gn ans suppose you can use it for the other bullets you use. I will advise that this is a dirty burning powder, so I would recommend Hodgdon's H110, Longshot. I have used Longshot behind 240 LSWC with great results (reduced load for competitions). Load info is on Hodgdon's web site.
My Super Redhawk has the 9.5" barrel, so those hot loads are a bit more manageable.

Almost forgot, becareful when using H110 or W296 as you can't reduce the loads very much. I think Hodgdon has a warning to reduce H110 only 3% to start with. The stuff rocks though. W296 is great for sending flames out the barrel.
