Nosler going out of business?

Well I emailed them and they responded back,,,,

Hi Joseph,

While Nosler has never been making more bullets than we are right now, demand is simply unprecedented. You won’t find our products in stock direct with Nosler until we have filled all of our dealer and distributor backorders. I don’t expect that to happen for some time.

Looking at our latest production schedule, the 30cal 168gr. BT’s are due back up on the press again in June. That would put them hitting dealer shelves again early summer. For reference, we run this bullet about 1-2 times per year on average. Also, this product has received recognition in the consumer choice awards, highlighting its quality and popularity.

Best regards,

Nosler Inc.
Nosler has not gone out of business, but their products, including the 168gr ballistic tips in .308, can be hard to find right now due to high demand and supply issues. It's worth checking multiple retailers or online sources, as stock can vary.

factory ammo comes before component sales do! handloaders/reloaders aren't even in 2nd place, more like 5th and 6th when you count specific powders, primers, bullets and brass. match ammo gets top pic on ever component per manufacturer! wonder why we sort bullets and brass..........there's your reason! places that sell components labeled "seconds" are what we get w/o the labeling........."seconds" are closer to "thirds"

Been looking for those for years, it shot very well in my .308

I would venture a guess that some of the low supply is not caused by them not being able to keep up but also some “right sizing” of production to try to keep from having excess inventory … no doubt first 2-3 years of Covid was panick buying and not being able to produce enough. Now, might be a little bit about not producing too much and getting inventory turns “right”.

I talk to some of the good ole boys at the LGS that have no horse in the race and they say spending has slowed…. I would believe that personally; how can you spend like drunk sailors for years on end? I sure can’t !! 😳
