Nosler Solid Base ???

I haven't loaded for my 270 in many years. I find 2 boxes of Nosler bullets on my shelf.

1 - Nosler Ballistic Tip 270 cal / 140 grain (.277) Spitzer 100 ct 43983

2 - Nosler 100 Solid Base Boat Tail Cal 270 / 140 grain Ballistic Tip 43983

What is the difference in the two? They carry the same Number on the end. Thanks Al Crouch

The only difference is the plastic tip. The Ballistic Tip was built off of the old Solid Base, and then later modified to be a little more structurally sound, as the plastic tip really accelerated expansion versus the lead soft point. (I think...)
