Load the 300 win mag to 3.6 OCL with custom barrel and throat and you will add another 100 fps. Old school 1000 yard set up.

Where is 300 weatherby data?

Can someone post QL data with 190 and 210 grain?

Team .30,

I have loaded 190 ABLR with 87,88,89gr of IMR 7828 SSC and 210 ABLR with 83,85gr of IMR 7828 SSC for use in my 300 RUM, 10 of each. These are all Nosler load specs except the 89gr for the 190 but, since they tested with a 24" barrel and my Browning has a 26' I expect it to be the best load. I will not get a change to test these loads until later in Nov however, I will report back. If anyone has any input I will be happy to read it.

Welcome aboard 300RUM; we're always glad to see new people posting. I anticipate you will find a good load with those you have prepared. The 300RUM certainly delivers a sound wallop on game; and the ABLR will make that cartridge shine, for sure.

Team .30,

I ended up loading 190 ABLR with 87, 89, 91gr of IMR 7828 SSC. All shot tight groups with the 91gr being the best. For the 210 ABLR I ended up loading 85, 87, 89gr of IMR 7828 SSC. The 85 and 87gr grouped well but, 89 grains were a three inch group at 100 yards. So, for me and my Browning 300 RUM with a 26 inch barrel, using a lead sled, 91gr of IMR 7828 SSC 3300 FPS (my best guess) group less than one inch and the 210 ABLR with 87gr of IMR 7828 SSC 3200 FPS (my best guess) do the same. These are now my loads for .30 ABLR bullets BTW I killed four Whitetail recently with the 190 ABLR at 50, 65, 185, and 202 yards all were bang flop. The bullets expanded well and did a lot of damage. I will save these loads and this gun for bigger game in the future now that I have it dialed in.

I used the 210gr ABLR on Plains Game in Africa with great success. However, after shooting I noticed the bullets in the mag had moved back into the case? This also happen on the 200gr Partitions I used. All were handloaded in Nosler bass that had been used once before in the same gun. What should I do to prevent this from happening?

I've sent a fair number of round downrange with a 7STW and not had any issue with the LRAB setting back. With stiff loads they have remained in place. I've done the same with heavy 35 whelen loads and they were just fine.

A few thoughts:

- Did you top off your rifle and leave the same 2-3 rounds in the box magazine the whole time? 3-4 rounds probably couldn't setback a normally tensioned bullet in a neck, but if you ran 20-30 and never rotated them out of the magazine, you might have taken it to the extreme.

- Is your expander ball in spec? If you expander ball was a bit oversized, you could not be getting enough neck tension. A simple press test on the bullets should tell you if it's happening.

- Worst case, get a Lee Factory Crimp die and give them a very very slight crimp. Shouldn't affect anything, but will tighten the necks up a hair. (I'm super safety paranoid, so I'd work my loads back up to the same charge if I was adding a crimp, just to make sure you don't have any pressure signs.)

I've read where most people are having a heck of a time getting the ABLR bullets to shoot. Many have given up. I'm interested in these bullets for my 300 Win Mag but have heard so many bad things about getting these 190's and 210's to shoot I'm leery of even trying them.

For those of you having success with these what barrel twists are you guys using in the 300 WM and how close to the lands are you seating the bullets? How much jump?

Thanks for everyone’s input with my 210gr ABLR seating issue. I figured it out. I have two sets of dies for the 300 RUM. Set 1 set had been used for loading the 190gr ABLR with great success. When loading the 210gr ABLR I used new die set 2 and new Nosler brass. Since the brass was new and I did not need to push out the used primer I did not adjust the die to fully seat and size the new brass. I should have noticed this because when pulling the brass down there should have been resistant when the expander ball was resizing the case neck. There was none.

I have them shooting great in 2 different 280AI's. the secret seems to be seating depth, some rifles like them seated deep and other rifles like them seated really deep!

I started both Guns at 0.010 off the lands, one rifle grouped at 0.040 off and this one didn't group until 0.120 off but man did it group. 5 shots in 0.298"
3a20005cdcf3ae80d4890dc50e2db0d6.jpg

At 0.010 off the lands this rifle shot nothing under 3/4" with most being 1-1/4".

I have always worked powder charge at 0.010 off the lands, picked the best and then played with seating. After this, when loading this bullet I will pick a medium powder charge and test seating depth first and then test powder charges.

who is looking for 210 ablr in 30 cal. message me there seems to be an abundance where i am at.

ABLR like jump it seems. This is 2 consecutive groups with 0.2 grains difference in charge. Both are in the 0.1's with 0.120 jump.
