Not in the optics forum...

The corner of the while building is 100yds away give or take a yard(laser range finder). I figured it gives you a good idea of reticle thickness. Please don't take the pictures as a comparison of optic quality. Looking through all the scopes below the SS was the best, with the NF pretty close. The PST and Viper looked about the same, and the Diamondback was pretty good too. Hard to tell since it couldn't zoom to the higher powers.
Nightforce 3.5-15x50mm
Viper 6.5-20x50mm
Viper PST 4-16x50mm
Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40mm
SSHD 5-20x50mm
All pics take at lowest power and then highest power. Here are the lowest power pics.
PST at 4x
Viper at 6.5x
NF at 3.5x
SSHD at 5x
Diamondback at 4x

Full illumination at 9:08PM (sunset was at 8:50PM officially):
200yds at 20x on SS with 2 inch dots and a 1 inch dot:
100yds 1 inch dots and 3 inch dots:
The pics really don't do the scope justice. The optics are just a tad sharper to me than the NF. For example, on the orange dots, I can see the really fine black circle on those dots with the SS but can't make them out with the NF. The night pic looks dark but though the scope I could see great till about 9:35. By 9:40 I would not take a shot. The illumination is nice but even on the lower settings it bleeds into the rest of the reticle as opposed to just the dot in the center.
I'm still getting used to the Mil adjustments. Several times I messed up thinking each click was either .25 inches at 100yds or that it took .25 Mils to equal .25 inches. The cross is thin enough to just quarter a 1 inch dot at 200 yds. I did play with using one of the mil dots (the little dot in the mil-diamond) as an aiming point but it the little black dots centered on the orange targets, it made aiming worse for me.

This scope is super clear and bright all the way until dawn. I will take some pics at 9pm as you can still clearly see the tower.
