Well some 17 hornets came back in stock and I snagged a walking varminter. The CZ is nice and more than likely the superior rifle but at a couple hundred bucks more it just wasn't what I wanted in this rifle. My primary calling rifle is a Savage 10 in 22-250 with a Boyds laminate stock so I wanted something just as light as I could get it for heading out away from the truck for jack rabbits and maybe the occasional coyote. After I get it on the 24th I will try to get a range report up.

I will be loading 25 grain vmax's with H322 and 15.5grn NTX lead free with W296.

Nice! I've almost bought one in a 22 hornet a few times, but I think I would ultimately get the CZ if I were going to spring for one. Keep us posted on the range results, I may change my mind. Been looking at the 17 hornet a bit lately myself.

I will do that. I have a friend who has one in 223 and he really likes it. I really liked the 22 hornet as well, but I kinda get the exact same ballistics with Bluedot and a 40grn Vmax in my 223's. It was hard to justify that one.
