Here in PA it's all about the game commission making money. I've hunted other states and they plant food plots on the game lands. Not here in PA and i believe that would help keep deer out of the farmers fields. You can get red tags from farmers and shoot deer in Febuary - March and again in August- Septemper.

I read something not long ago , the RED tags might start in maybe July ? if I run across this again , I'll try to remember and post the info .

I've been spending a lot of time on SGL 33 . I'm surprised at what they do on it .to be fair they have a building that backs up to this game lands . so it's very convenient . but this is the only game lands I have seen any effort being put in . I could be wrong though . the big problem I see is , most of the work they are doing , most hunters won't walk that far away from their truck .
