So my uncle was having trouble with his sako AV 270. Blamed it on the scope. Turned out to be a bedding issue....
anyway, he put a new Nikon scope on it before bringing it to me to "fix".
well the scope is a "shotgun" scope..... meaning that parallax is pre-set at 75 yards.
it's a pro-staff 2-7x32.

Question for you smart fellers:
Is this parallax setting going to be a problem? for example, on 7X shooting at a mule deer at 342 yards?
I'm assuming at these low of magnifications that parallax wont be an issue....

Most non adjustable rifle scopes are set for 150 yds. Shotgun scopes are set for 75 yds.
Depending on "your" eyes, you may or may not have an issue.

what JD said. I put a 1.5-4.5 on a 243 for a kid one time (cause his scope was junked and its all I had) from off my "turkey gun". I have no idea where the parralax was set (so I guess this post is pointless) but I saw him last year and he has taken several deer with the rig all over 100 yards. CL
