After finding out about the new FN Model 70s will soon be assembled overseas, I went out and bought me a coyote light chambered in 22-250 rem. I've been wanting one of these for a while now ever since I sold my classic model 70 push feed coyote 22-250 to my cousin. The fit & finish is really nice on this rifle. I don't care for the vented B&C stock at all, so I swapped it out last night for a B&C EW stock that I had laying around. The barrel contour is a hair bigger on the coyote light models when compared to the EW model 70s. I'm going to take the barreled action out of the stock tonight and give it a little sanding and give it a nice float. The factory bedding looks good on both of the stocks, but the rifle feels way better and lighter with the EW stock on it.
I got some Talley's on order and will put those on this week hopefully and get my Leupold 3.5-10 w/turrets mounted as well. Hope to be shooting it this Saturday and take it out hunting for predators on Sunday for the first time this winter. Starting to see more and more coyotes around here every year now. Would love to kill a wolf or 3 as well, but we'll see.
