Pressures

I have a question regarding pressure. Is there a way of caculating pressure when working up a new load. I've also been told you can look at the case and see signs of excessive pressure. I'm trying to come up with a load for my TC Contender in .35 Remington using a 225gr. Ballistic tip, but I can't find any published loads on this.
Any help is appreciated even if it is pointing to a publication I can read with this information in it.
