After 2 weeks of thinking, I called up Nosler4 today, as promised, and we quickly decided on a course of action. My mind made up, I quickly reserved a TGR in 7-08 complete with Leupold bases and DD rings, and finally a Leupold 2.5-8x36 scope. All mounted and bore sighted and shipped to my FFL in about 7 months.

They make it waaaaaayyyy too easy. I decided to quickly tell my 'banker' that it'd be birthday, new son's (late August '11) birthday and Christmas plus whatever holidays needed...even Mother's Day  .

Anyhow thanks Nosler and Nosler4 for the great experience. If the rifle and caliber choice turn out as advertised, I think I'll be happy for years to come.

Sounds like a great choice. I know it is a great cartridge, and the rifle has all the right components to be fabulous.

It'll be more than twice as much as I've ever spent on any other firearm in my safe so I hope it will.

Now I'm trying to decide what Nosler bullet to team it up with? I'd love to get my hands on some 2nd Nosler brass and some Accubonds to start.

You have a little time. Perhaps you should peruse SPS on an ongoing basis so that when brass and bullets become available, you'll be on top of it.

Congratulations on your new Nosler TGR. The 7mm-08 is a great choice. I would load the 140 gr AB and not look back.

There are some 140gr PT's and ET's on sale right now. I would think either of those would end my need to look further for another bullet! Scotty

Please share you're thoughts on the B&C reticle. I've elected the duplex but am not opposed to switching. TIA

I have several B&C reticles, and just order another on a VX6. I like it. When the ballistics are worked out and verified, it is a quick system for shots in the field.

I love the B&C reticle for my style of hunting. It allows me to have specific aiming points out to 500 yards with the slower gun's and 600 with the fast movers. I have a few of them and will most definitely get more in the future. Plus, the B&C is the simplest Ballistic system out there. Scotty

Went to back order yesterday on my 7-08. Starting the countdown. Will be a tough wait.
