I have come across a good load for my 300 wsm using 180 accubonds. I am wondering how close is the balistic tip from being the same as teh AccuBond with regards to tradjectory and shot placement. I would like to have a less expensive round to do more long range plinking with.

Considering the BC's are identical (I think), you should be able to work up a similar load with the BT and use it as a practice round. I wouldn't shoot anything like deer with it, though, as it is liable not to hold up to the velocities the WSM produces at shorter ranges, but you sound like you already know that.

The 180 gr AB and BT are very close. I would go ahead and practice with the BT and make final adjustments with the AB for hunting.
One other thought is to buy a supply of the 180 gr AB seconds from Shooters Pro Shop.
You can practice and hunt with the same bullets. :wink:
