Well getting ready for this build rifle will be here this week to send off for a JES rebore. Building it on a M70 SS Classic Sporter in 30-06 with a 24" barrel.

Thinking about stretching them out a bit to 3.440" can someone run the 250AB and 286PT at 3.290" and 3.440" with H414 and 65K. Want to see if there's any gain before I make some dummies to send with the rifle.

Thanks Mike. That should be all there. Pretty impressive looking. Don't think a guy would need anymore than that.

It is an excellent cartridge that kills out of proportion to the numbers.

That'll do for about anything we'd ever hunt in NA, and much of what can be hunted anywhere else. Exciting pictures, Jake.

Very nice Jake. Check out RL17. It looks real good and I've seen some great reports of it working well too.

That 250 AB is just about like a 338 Win Mag. Nothing on this side of the world would like them at all... Especially one of those Idaho Black Bear!

Thanks again Mike can you run H380 up to 65k? I loaded some pressure check loads and ran into problems at 67 grains due to compression couldn't seat the bullets properly. So I may experiment with that if I can get up to 2700. I know I should just leave it alone at 2500 but I don't want to leave 200 fps on the table if I don't have to.

414/760 looks great. Those two get some great speeds at 56K PSI. It's making it hard to look past.

This is H380 at 56565 psi.

Thanks for getting all this info posted (y) . I have a little R17 that will be tried with the 286 grain bullets. I shot some light loads with both H414 and IMR4166 last Friday, but did not have my chronograph with me (too darn cold to set up yet). Will be back out later this week to get some new loads tested that will be closer to the upper end of QL info. Will be interesting to see what my velocity is with the 26" barrel vs yours.

Jake -
What primer are you using, and will you be trying a magnum primer to see if there is velocity or accuracy improvements?
