Would someone be so kind to run me QL s on the following? Data is hard to come by for the 375 RUM.

Fed 215
24" barrel

1. 270 Hornady SP
R22 and H4350
3.590 OAL

2 300 Sierra GK
R22 and H4350
3.590 OAL

3. 350 TSX FB
H4350
3.550 OAL

Know I m asking for a lot but sure appreciate anyone's help. No hurry for data; just decided to drag rifle out and get some loads going for it. Been 12 years or so since I ve shot it. Checked my notes and it's got 92 total rounds through it ... hopefully the recoil doesn't convince me to sell it. lol

Just noticed that I got the OAL wrong on the load for the 350 grain Barnes TSX. Here is the projection with the data provided.

Code:
Cartridge : .375 Rem Ultra Mag
Bullet : .375, 350, Barnes 'TSX' 30494
Useable Case Capaci: 92.401 grain H2O = 6.000 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.550 inch = 90.17 mm
Barrel Length : 24.0 inch = 609.6 mm
Powder : Hodgdon H4350

That’s a hammer of a cartridge. Good luck with it. Talk about some drive behind big Bullets.

Dr Mike, thank you Sir! That was fast!

Jim, it's a Rem 700 XCR, Synthetic stock and nitride barrel and action coating. It's has been a safe queen.. when I originally got her did all the barrel breakin, got the iron sights dialed in and mounted a VXIII 1.5-5x on it , shoots MOA or better with 300 and 270 gr Hornady's. ( U got to bare down on the bench though!)
Round count including barrel breakin under 100... still have the empty once fired cases.

Thank you.

I d never had anything bigger than 30 cal and thought a medium bore would be fun to have. I was in my late 40 s at the time and had some thoughts about maybe getting to Alaska. Short story is my Dad got sick and passed, my sister who was single got a brain tumor and had to take care of her for 10 months and she passed, and 2 years ago lost my Mother. So now I m in my early 60 s and not sure if I ll ever do a hunt where I need a medium bore!! I ve not hunted once with the rifle or taken any critter.

But, the holes are easier to spot in the paper than smaller rounds!!! :)

Sounds like you need to go to AK or Africa. I've been up to AK the last 2 years and 4 other times besides that hunting. It's not crazy expensive if you do a DIY hunt.

I had a 375 RUM for a while and it was too much of a good thing IMO. The 375-358STA I have now and some of the 375 JRS's we made got about equal velocites with less powder and recoil.

Frankm,sorry about your losses.

I have a .375 RUM and with a 260 grain Nosler Partition and H-4831 it is getting an average velocity of 2900 fps. That is from a 26" barrel.

The high right shot is the first one from a clean barrel. The target was 100 yards away.

I used a 300 grain bullet for the bunny, but here is a picture of the rifle.

Ken, Very nice looking rifle! I like that laminate stock. What make is the stock?

She's a shooter no doubt. Those 375 UM s are accurate. Nosler has a note in their data that the 375 Ultra Magnum is their 37 caliber of choice for their accuracy/bullet testing!

Always impressed with the groups some of the medium bores produce. I had a .375 H&H briefly, the recoil off the bench outside the Lead Sled had me wanting to run home to momma! Doesn’t bother my old late 70’s shooting pard one bit though. Not bad off hand. The RUM must really pack a punch!

My Rem700BDL.375RUM has a 25"bbl. I use 270gn Barnes TSX.

Here's some chronographed loads - 5 shot average.

93gns H4350.......2880fps
100gns RL 19.......2904fps
90gns RL17........2895fps
100gns RL26.......2795fps
