I want to use RL 17 with my 375 H&H, my bud shared some data he has. But is not sure of pressures. His load was 82.0 grs with RL17, anyone out their reading this please don't go out running and use this data. He said it shot fine and very accurate load. So if anyone could help me out I really appreciate it. Will be using r-p brass, 300gr tsx maybe 300 AccuBond, fed 215 out of a model 70 with a 24 inch barrel. But if pressures are off the charts will go another route.

I'd believe 72 grains of RL17 with the 300 grain TSX.

Code:
Cartridge : .375 H.& H. Mag.
Bullet : .375, 300, Barnes 'TSX' 30491
Useable Case Capaci: 74.300 grain H2O = 4.824 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.600 inch = 91.44 mm
Barrel Length : 24.0 inch = 609.6 mm
Powder : Alliant Reloder-17

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 1.0% of nominal charge.
CAUTION: Figures exceed maximum and minimum recommended loads !

Results caused by ± 10% powder lot-to-lot burning rate variation using nominal charge
Data for burning rate increased by 10% relative to nominal value:
+Ba 101 72.80 2739 4998 73864 8131 100.0 1.111 !DANGEROUS LOAD-DO NOT USE!

You'd have a hard time stuffing 82 grains in that case. Case fill is over 114%. Pressure is, as you suspected, off the chart. I doubt that he actually shot that load. Brass fails at ~85K psi.

Thanks Dr. Mike.. his load is 82.0 gr sent a picture and found a link a guy posted from alliant recommending up to 85.0gr of rl17 with a 300gr Partition. I wonder how rl25 or 26 would do in it..
