I got the rifle back from the first gunsmith, my old gunsmith wanted to look at it. We worked with it some and got it have a better bolt lift, but the problem is in the 3 way safety bolt shroud thats on it. Its causing all the problems. He is going to have "one of the rifles" fixed before my hunt in early Decemeber. I had dropped my heirloom JC Higgins 30-06 off to put one of those 3 way safeties on and a brake, put it in a Butler Creek stock. He still hasn't had time to finish it. So my fingers are crossed. Its always a bummer to pay for a good rifle and get s "project" instead!
