Thank-you! Interesting to see. I had some loads tested with 67gr and 220gr for average of 2813 fps and .7" group and 72gr with 180s at 3140 fps.

I do love he 8X68. It is a hammer. I let my 325 WSM go, but I kept the 8X68. Wonderfully accurate rifle.

3140 is smoking!
I'm hoping to match RWS factory velocity. They have the 187gr H-mantle at 3180 fps, and my rifle actually shot them at the exact same velocity as the listed velocity. With a bullet 7 grains lighter Id like to see 3200 fps.

Got back out to the range, pretty much got to where I wanted to.

220's- Best accuracy was this load but bolt lift was bit heavy. Going to back off this load and stick with the original 67gr pictured above.

Man I can not wait for my 8mm Rem Mag to get back from Pac-Nor!

Impressive #'s BTW

Them 180's are doing almost 300 Bee Velocities.

I too am impressed, especially with the given powder, nothing special about imr 4350. Efficient magnum performance from the given powder charges and velocities/ accuracy achieved.

I worked up to 67, 68, 69 for the 220's. 72-73.5gr for the 180's, 70-70.5 for the 200's. I'd like to use the 220's for moose this year.

I plan on packing two rifles, the 8x68s for longer shots and a 8x57 for closer, mid range shots.

Yes, 180 Barnes TSX.
Long ago I tried 150 TSX with the 7 Mag and 7 STW ( 8mm wildcat ) , but it was so fussy to shoot well, so i dropped it never to use again. Your TSX grouping is not shabby at all. Your speed at 3190 fps is smoking. Recently I did work up a load at 95 degrees and maxed out with the 180 TTXS for my 300 WM at 3260 fps and I was impressed with the accuracy and speed. Backed off half a grain to 3240 fps and shoots great at that node, its with RL 25 and more likely I will see temp swings since its temp sensitive but it won't matter at the distance I'm shooting at under 300 yards. I like to try the TTSX on tough nilgai soon.
What are your intention on type of game to shoot the TSX on ?
