300blk, COAL 2.080, 175gr Hprnady Sub-x, 11.5gr H110 starting load, cci small rifle primers. Hoping to double check expected velocity in 10.5" Encore pistol. Thanks in advance for all the help so far!
I’d expect you to see something in the 1,000–1,050 fps range from a 10.5" barrel with that load, but always work up carefully since every barrel can chrono a bit differently. Pokerogue
I load 10.7gn for the 190gn Sub-X and it goes 1050fps from my 16" carbine. I'd suggest working down from there until the wanted velocity shows up. I use A1680 and any small rifle primer I can find because it's the only propellant I found that generates sufficient gas to properly cycle AR pattern firearms. Using H110 in a reduced load doesn't make sense to me. It's a magnum propellant that expects a magnum primer and magnum pressures. I've experienced H110 getting 'fussy' when it's loaded to work with a non-magnum primer or outside its pressure window.
