Quickload question Seating depth & Pressure

Hi all, Does Quickload have the capability to input changes in COAL and provide pressure level change estimates, given other variables remain the same?

I want to work up a .243 Win load using Nosler 100gr PT. The magazine limits my ability to seat just of the lands. I am about 0.080" off the lands at SAAMI COAL with the Nosler 100gr PT. Using H4350 I want to try and get the best performance from the cartridge, but am wondering if Quickload has the ability to estimate pressure changes in seating. If I am seating in increments of 0.015 will pressure build up at 0.200 off the lands? Bullet base intruding on case capacity for a given powder charge? I have tried to use the forum search function, but I didn't turn up much on this topic.

Specifics Rifle Rem 700ADL, .243 Rifle, 41.0 grs H4350 powder, Winchester cases.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I've played with quickload alot over the years and also with seating depth. I'd have to say one of the few faults with quickload is it "overreacts" to changes in seating depth.
Quickload WILL add pressure quickly to forecasts with deeper seating depth.
BUT, in reality I have found that when reloading and changing depths there has been very very little difference on the chronograph.
So, I do not change seating depths with my quickload calcs....I just leave them at the standard defaults and go from there.
I do love quickload. It has been really useful for me over the years playing with many different loadings and casings. I still cross ref quickload with manuals but usually find quickload is better than most of todays conservative data sources.

other than functioning through the mag does coal really effect pressure? I mean it takes very little pressure to get the bullet out to the lands, correct?
I do know in my min spec chambered rifles, I shoot higher MV seated deep with the same load compared to seated at the lands or close to them. but then again they are not short throated.

Thanks for the input, I load for a couple rifles and have .243 and Nosler PT in the works next. I was wondering if Quickload was capable of estimating pressure changes for this situation, such that if I am getting close to max pressures, would the bullet base make the available case space smaller and cause a significant pressure rise.

I have numerous reloading guides, hard copy and soft copies, and was wondering if Quickload was worth getting, mostly on the pressure change estimate(s).

Just wondering the abilities of Quickload.

Thanks again for the input :|

To answer your question NO, do not use calulated pressures to alter listed loads. If your magazine is the limiting factor load to its longest OCL and work up to max looking for pressure signs. Every gun is different and I have found dangerous pressures with listed loads at mid listed charges.

You obviously know with bottle neck rifle cartridges for the same powder charge the more lead the lower the pressure will be and thus velocity.

Case in point MY 22 Hornet, with 12.6grs of Lilgun and the speer 45gr it does 2920fps if seated at my long OCL. Some some .030" to the 1.723" OCL to fit in the magazine it does 2750fps. And the long OCL is still .025" from the lands. And this was the over pressure at mid listed charge as listed in hornadys manual. I did send a Few loads to Hogodon at their request and loaded more powder only to get 3300fps from a 40gr. Lucky I did not split a case. I then used Speers listed load using the CCI500 smal pistal primer and wala it matches their data perfectly. This a tiny case and very small changes can get big resualts. I have SUB MOA loads for the 40 and 45gr bullets from 2980/40gr and 2880/45gr with Lilgun with a long seat bullet.
