Quickload req: 264mag

Could someone run a QL on the 264mag for me, with a 120gr Sierra SPT ProHunter (#1720)

I had some work done on my Dad's rifle, and I know there are better bullet choices, but that's his darling so I'm going to do a load workup.

Wow! That's a screamer right there. Makes me wanna try a 120 ET from my 264. Might be a do it all type set up.

I like the E-Tip in every calibre I've tried it in. I can't imagine that it wouldn't be excellent in the 264 Win Mag. It would pack quite a punch.

I have good luck with 63.0 grains of H4831 with the 120 grain Sierra SPT in my Model 70.

I was hoping for a load with Alliant Power Pro 4000-MR, but looks like QL doesn't have a workup yet.

Pity, as I have access to it - and Alliant shows data for 7mag and 300mag.

I bet Itd work though CM. Maybe not tops but maybe put a call into Alliant?

...I'd be cautious maxxing out MV w/ that ProHunter, fine bullets, but they were designed for use w/ the smaller 6.5 cartridges (WW II milsurp), should be fine @ 3200-3300fps MV. If you think you need more MV/ range, I'd look @ a stouter, higher BC bullet...

No worries, he has piled up the whitetails the last 20 years with it. But ran out of the lot of IMR-4831, so I'm in search of a replacement. I'm also going to test a 130AB, or 129 ABLR if I can ever find them in stock.
