Also tried some IMR 8133 but it was too bulky/slow and I couldn't get enough in the case for any kind of decent velocity.

Isn't staball 6.5's burn rate close to H4350? IMR8133 is like Retumbo so you're results aren't suprising. That's a huge jump. You might try looking at H4831sc, IMR4955 or IMR7828ssc...

In 25-06 hodgdon lists 8133 as giving 200 FPS more velocity with a 117 grain bullet than those powders.
My 25-284 holds just 1 or 2 grains less depending on brass and I have the 8133 on hand as well as the Staball.

In this rifle I have a winner with 100 grain BT's and Reloder 17, but can't find that weight bullet these days and have a bunch of 115 grain BT's.

I see. So did 8133 get you anywhere close in velocity before you ran out of room in the case? Maybe just a touch faster then like IMR7977 or H1000. 7828ssc has to be close as well I'd think...
