Dan, are you changing up from the 150 BTs?

Those 140's look quite speedy with the slow burners.

Scotty, no the 150 gr. CTBST will probably be my bullet of choice for hunting whitetails here on my property. The 150 gr. CTBST at a muzzle velocity of 2900 fps will deliver energy out to 400 yards for that one chance I may have at a big buck in the field behind the house. I just received the bullets I ordered 11 months ago. My load development is probably 80% complete. I still have some seating depth work to do and I want to compare the CTBST to BT's. The one time I did a direct substitution I had higher velocity and pressure signs on the first BT fired with my load for the CTBST. I have to figure out why.

I just have an interest in the Hornady 140 gr. interlock BTSP. My 7mm-08 really liked the old "light magnum" (predecessor to the Superformance) factory loads with the 7mm 140 gr. interlock BTSP. I was also impressed with the terminal performace on the deer I shot with those bullets. So, I thought I would try them out in the 270 Win. I like the fact that the Hornady 140 gr. Interlock BTSP has a higher B.C. than the 140 NBT. With the velocities possilbe for these bullets I would like to check on the terminal performance.

Meanwhile I am 85% complete with the load development for 140 gr. AB's. I have a good load using IMR7828 except that the velocity variation is more than I like. I need to confirm a load using IMR 4831 that shows less variation.

I haven't shot a bad group with the 140 gr. BT's. Any powder I use works with those bullets.

Additionally, some 150 gr. Partitions arrive in the mail one day. I want to work up a load with those just in case Rol_P drags me out west with him.

You know there are so many bullets and so many powders to try in just one rifle that I just can't keep up. How do you guys with multiple rifles cope with all the combinations to try?

I'm with you Dan. I love to shoot new bullets and with a solid 270 like yours any of those you mentioned are excellent choices.

I do like the 150 BT. Great bullet for just about anything you'd wanna tackle with a 270. The PT is just a little better yet for elk.

I have a 270 that likes accubonds AND interlocks.....but in my buddies rifle it rejected the a b's and bt's and doted on interlocks. Funny how that works sometimes. They're all great performers on deer.
Re the ctbt's and pressure I swear in some guns the coated bullets act slipperier and are slower than regular bts.

Hello Dr. Mike,
Humbly reviving this old QL request. I am glad I found this data, however I am specifically looking for Shooters World SW4350, a.k.a. Lovex S070, used with the Interlock 140gr BTSP. Would you be willing run that on Quickload for me?

I have found the QL data for 140 NBTs and 140 NABs on other threads, however there are some definite differences from the 140 Interlock data sets.

Thank you
