The last time that I asked for this projection I had an error in the input data. Would someone be so kind as to run a quickload projection for me with the following inputs?

Caliber - 450 Marlin
Barrel Length - 24"
Bullet - 300 gr. Speer Uni-Cor HP (Speer no. 2482)
Powder - H4198
O.A.L - 2.525"
Overflow case capacity - 76.4 gr.

Thank you.

Dr. Mike,

Thank you very much. This projection agrees with my observed results for this rifle. For example with 52.0 grains I measured a velocity of 2277 fps. This projection shows a velocity of 2276 fps with 51.94 grains.

Amazing how precise mathematics can be when the appropriate parameters are employed. This is an amazing program. That would be a fine load, delivering a real wallop to anything hit by that bullet.

Oh yeah, that 300 grain Speer at 2200 would be an awesome all rounder. I really like that bullet, usually accurate in most rifles I have tried it in..
